Surface-Emitting Light Guide Panels
A light guide panel is an optical component that allows a light source, such as an LED, etc. to travel from the edge of the panel across the surface. If the surface of the panel is smooth, total light reflection allows the light to be transmitted from the source to the opposite edge. By treating this smooth surface to change the direction of the light, the light can be emitted from the surface.
