Incandescent Lamps
Incandescent bulbs are lighting fixtures that emit light in a white heat state by heating tungsten filaments with an electric current. The inside of the glass bulb is filled with inert gas or a vacuum to prevent oxidation of the filament. It is characterized by a warm light similar to natural light because of its wavelength close to sunlight. This is an advantage over other light bulbs, causing less eye fatigue when working for prolonged periods.
