Filament lamp is occasionally used as a resistor by utilizing change of resistance value when electric current flows.
Wide wavelength emitted from filament lamp is effective for some sensor applications that narrow band from LED does not work.
Small axial lamp can be mounted on PCB.
Sealed type and non-sealed type are available. Non-sealed type lamp can be used to detect property of circumjacent gases.
Axial lamp is used for high-end speakers, providing better quality sound than conventional resistor does.
